Weekly roundup Headland and Harbour ward. |
||
|
Good Morning Residents, Last week was a hot one, I spent the days walking around the headland ward speaking with residents and also had a few jobs to attend to. On Monday 22nd June 2026 I attended west view care home regarding ASB at the empty building. where the previous evening a group of youths had entered the unsafe building and one of my colleagues had issued AS13s to parents. This building is unsafe if you have children out and about in the community they must not play or gather inside derelict buildings. Please educate your children on the dangers of playing in or around empty properties. 1. Vehicle VW scirocco was recovered from King Oswy drive which was parked on the grass at the side of the road, the vehicle was recovered for no insurance, tax or or up to date registered keeper. The vehicle also had no number plates. 2. Second vehicle was a white ford transit van, a member of the public reported outside of their property. When checked the vehicle had no registration plates flat tyres, but a note in the window with details of the owner and a reg. further checks done on the vehicle found it to be stolen. 3. Third Vehicle Citroen Berlingo with some damage, again not registered to an owner or taxed and insured on the marina near to maritime avenue. 4. located a stolen vehicle on Pannell place in clavering and vehicle was returned to the owner from the Durham area. Your reports do get actioned, be sure to report any suspicious activity or vehicles abandoned. Please report either to Police or Local Council who can do all necessary checks to make sure it is road legal. Visited businesses and shops on the marina last week and spoke to business managers who have been reporting shop thefts. We are currently experiencing antisocial behaviour around businesses at the Marina. Please could you mention to your children that we will take action if they are seen and identified on CCTV as being involved in ASB. Reports of drug dealing in and around the headland area. should you see any behaviours such as Vehicles coming and going, people coming and going from a particular address groups hanging around outside an address please send any details of vehicles registrations, person if you know if any activity of drug dealing at all please forward anything to myself and we will endeavour to get it dealt with as soon as possible. Remember, If we don't know about it, we can't deal with it!!!! Next week 6th july i will be taking a well earned break and will see you again when i return on 24th july.
